Your first web page
Every web page is built from elements. An element usually has an opening tag like
, some content, and a closing tag like
.

is the main heading of a page.
is a paragraph. The browser reads the tags to decide how to show the text, so visitors never see the tags themselves.
The editor already holds a tiny page. Change it and the preview updates as you type.
Example

About me

I like football and drawing.

I live by the sea.

A closing tag has a slash, like

. Forgetting it is the most common beginner mistake, and the Problems tab will point it out.Your tasks
